Overview:

Full-time research analyst position specializing in investigations, due diligence, and litigation support. Conducts research and reports findings as assigned. Limited hybrid option available after introductory period.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Gather relevant data efficiently and effectively.

  • Identify and/or locate search subject using specialized databases and various resource tools.

  • Collect data and verify information through public record research.

  • Accurately and concisely report information

  • Prepare reports using excellent written English with few typos or grammatical and punctuation errors.

  • Analyze data in accordance with federal and state laws.

  • Maintain and update daily records and job status reports with few to no errors.

  • Familiarity with e-mail protocol, use of templates, and other common word processing programs.

  • Provide research and reporting assistance to colleagues as needed.

  • Communicate appropriately and in a timely way with colleagues, clients, and third parties.

  • Perform all tasks with care and attention to detail.

  • Strong research and writing skills.

  • Ability to analyze data and make connections.

  • Excellent proofreading skills.

  • Exceptional attention-to-detail.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • High level of curiosity, resourcefulness, and tenacity to “figure things out.”

  • Creativity and flexibility in addressing specific case or project needs with the ability to pivot quickly to different priorities.

  • Exercise discretion in the handling, retention, and communication of confidential and sensitive information.

  • Strongly self-directed but with the ability to work respectfully and professionally with others.

  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly.

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree is required. Comparable experience may be substituted at AFG’s discretion.

Preferred but not required:

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, Russian.

  • Proficiency with public record, investigative, and financial research resources such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, TLO, EDGAR/SEC and government-administered civil litigation, criminal record, property, and corporate registration databases.

  • Postgraduate degree.

Physical requirements:

  •  Minimal lifting or carrying; significant sitting/standing required to conduct research. Manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects and operating office equipment.
